Saint Leo University Career Services is presenting the Leaders in the Industry webinar series. This series of interactive webinars offers students the opportunity to explore career fields with today’s working professionals.
The next live webinar, The Future of the Accountant in Business: Leading in the Digital Age, is scheduled for 6 p.m., ET, Wednesday, February 13. Career Services and the Saint Leo University IMA Student Chapter will welcome Jeff Thomson, president and CEO of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) to University Campus.
Thomson earned a master’s degree in mathematics and statistics and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Montclair State University in New Jersey. He holds numerous accounting and leadership certifications, including the CMA(R) (Certified Management Accountant), CSCA (Certified in Strategy and Competitive Analysis), and CAE (Certified Association Executive).
Among other honors, Thomson has been recognized by Accounting Today for five consecutive years as one of the top 100 thought leaders who is influencing the accounting profession.
